The opening of The Outer Banks Hospital in early 2002 marked a new beginning. Residents of Dare and Currituck, parts of Hyde and Tyrrell Counties, as well as visitors who vacation here annually will get the finest healthcare available. As the community has grown, so have its healthcare needs. That's why we continue to build our staff of professionals. The area is currently served by full-time primary care providers, including internal medicine, family practice, OB/GYN and pediatrics, as well as a number of full-time medical specialists.
