Cancer Caregiver's Support Group

CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER: A CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
4th Wednesday of each month from 11am-12pm

*This meeting will be held via teleconference*
(computer/internet connection or telephone required)

Connect with others who have a loved one diagnosed with cancer.  In this group, led by Janet Creef (Outer Banks Hospital Oncology Licensed Clinical Social Worker) people can share their personal experiences, ways of coping and helpful resources. This group is free of charge and open to any person who is currently impacted by the cancer diagnosis of a loved one.
 
Goals:

  • Reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety and distress
  • Expand and learn new ways of coping
  • Increases feelings of hope and empowerment
  • Connect with other caregivers in the community to share information, experiences, support & encouragement
  • Provide you with practical information about treatment and resources
  • Help you communicate better with your loved one and their medical care team
