Gentle Chair Yoga

Many people who have completed or are under going cancer treatment may experience extreme fatigue. A lack of activity can lead to weak muscles and limited range of motion. Beginning an exercise program, like yoga, can help to break the cycle and reduce fatigue.

Chair Yoga is a very gentle form of yoga that is designed to increase flexibility, strength, balance, and circulation. It goes beyond exercise to encourage quiet reflection, proper breathing, and better posture.

The Outer Banks Hospital and the Hands of Hope Program are offering free chair yoga classes to chronic illness and cancer survivors.

The class is free, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to class. Dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
