Since opening in March 2002, The Outer Banks Hospital has been celebrating the birth of babies. And with good reason! More than 400 babies are born each year at the critical access hospital. All babies born the previous year – in this case, 2007 – along with their siblings and parents are invited to return to the hospital for cake and punch, informational literature and programs - and just to show off their babies to their obstetricians, pediatricians and each other.

This year, obstetricians Dr. Daniel Dwyer and Dr. Benjamin Winfree and pediatricians Dr. David Thompson, Dr. Jennifer Halloran and Dr. Christian Lige’ joined the party along with the staff from the hospital’s Labor & Delivery Unit. Karen Ciero, RN, Director of Labor & Delivery, hosted the event.
