Symptom Management Clinic Treatments

The Outer Banks Hospital Symptom Management Clinic adds the personal touch to cancer care by helping patients manage symptoms related to cancer therapy. Individualized care is provided to address symptoms associated with cancer treatment, including, but not limited to nausea, dehydration, pain, wounds and distress.

Led by Dr. Christine Petzing who is board certified in palliative care medicine, The Symptom Management Clinic is staffed by oncology nurse navigators, a dietician, social worker and Hands of Hope Volunteer Coordinator.

The Symptom Management Clinic resides in the Outer Banks Hospital Oncology/Hematology department located at 4810 S. Croatan Highway, Nags Head, Suite 210 (2nd Floor of the Medical Office Building behind the hospital).
