Alex Tobiasz, Environmental Services Lead Area Technician, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s April, 2018 Employee of the Month. Tobiasz joined TOBH in 2012. Recently, he was promoted to the Lead Area Tech position for his outstanding performance.
Tobiasz regularly goes above and beyond in every department. Known for his quiet demeanor, he works to ensure that The Outer Banks Hospital stays safe, clean and well-cared for. His name is mentioned often as department leaders praise his efforts to be sure that each area of the hospital has what they need to care for our patients, including extra scrubs, room turns or more fresh linens.
Tobiasz has taken the lead in safety measures, as well. This commitment to safety lead to Tobiasz earning accolades from the Department of Quality for a Safety Catch. According to his co-workers, Tobiasz’ “attention to detail and willingness to share his knowledge and skills with others is exceptional.” He is truly a remarkable team member who exhibits all of the values of The Outer Banks Hospital.
Reflecting upon being chosen as the Employee of the Month, Tobiasz said, “Everything that you do is a reflection of who you are. Therefore, everything that you do, you do to the best of your abilities.” He continued, “I just try to do good work. It is always gratifying when others recognize you for your work.”
