Anne Holland, Medical/Surgical Staff Nurse at The Outer Banks Hospital, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s August, 2018 Employee of the Month. Holland joined the Vidant family at Chowan Hospital in 2006, and was transferred to TOBH in 2007.

Holland, steady and calm, is a strong charge nurse and works hard to promote a positive flow between the Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical. As a member of the night shift, she has been extremely helpful training new team members and orienting new students. Holland has earned the respect of the providers for her experience, helpful attitude and willingness to share her knowledge with others.

Always a team player, Holland is often recognized for stepping in to assist Labor and Delivery when the need arises, and for promoting a positive working relationship across all hospital units, which results in a smoother and more pleasant patient experience. She is an excellent communicator and a gracious human being who exudes positivity. Holland is a role model of leadership, collaboration and acceptance.

Reflecting on the honor, Holland exclaimed, “I am so thankful to work with such an amazing, knowledgeable and caring group of people. I truly work with an incredible team of co-workers.”
