Donna Booth, Referral Coordinator at The Outer Banks Hospital Urgent Care Center, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s September, 2018 Employee of the Month. Booth has worked at the Urgent Care Center since July of 2015.

Booth performs many roles at the Urgent Care Center. She is in charge of medical records, insurance authorizations, scheduling patient testing, appointments and referrals to other facilities. She is incredibly helpful to the entire the Urgent Care team, but especially the nursing staff, who refer to her as a lifesaver.

Booth gives 100% to every assignment she takes on, and is committed to completing it in a timely, caring and kind way. There is no task too large for Booth; she is always ready to lend a hand. She makes supply runs to other offices, does bank deposits and maintains office supplies. She also takes charge of staffing the front desk and recently added the nurses’ schedule to her duties.

Reflecting on the honor, Booth exclaimed, “Thank you to everyone that nominated me for EOM! I was truly surprised for sure!” She continued, “I am deeply touched and I am blessed to be working with a great group of people here at UCC. This is the reason I love my job and co-workers, we are like a family here.”
