Dr. Aaron Haigh, board-certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, joined Outer Banks General Surgery — Nags Head, located in The Outer Banks Hospital Medical Office Building.

Haigh offers a variety of non-invasive procedure options and specializes in gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, complex hernia repair, gastrointestinal endoscopy and surgery to treat breast cancer. Most recently Haigh was a clinical associate and performed advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery for Piedmont Surgery, a Duke University Surgery satellite clinic at the Danville Regional Medical Center (DRMC) in Danville, Virginia. In addition he was chief of the DRMC surgery department and a member of the adjunct faculty at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia
