Weeklong celebrations to commemorate The Outer Banks Hospital’s 5th Anniversary began at 4 a.m. March 19th where the hospital’s 5th Anniversary Committee saluted one another with a cup of coffee. The early morning observance was following by a breakfast, with a special recognition for those who have been with the hospital since its opening. Mid-week, the Anniversary Committee hosted a Founder’s Reception for those leaders who were influential in making the vision of a hospital on the Outer Banks a reality. The following day, the hospital opened its doors to the public, hosting a reception and mini-tours for community members. The week rounded out with the annual Baby Party on Saturday, with invitations to all of the babies (and their families) who were born at this hospital this past year.

“In five short years, the staff, volunteers, and physicians who call this organization ‘home’ have accomplished much, becoming an integral part of the Outer Banks community,” said Van Smith, Hospital President. “I congratulate the men and women who have created a superior facility whose focus is promoting wellness and providing the highest quality healthcare services.”
