Nags Head, NC – “I am thankful for the generosity of my colleagues at The Outer Banks Hospital,” said Jeffery Sackrison interim president (photo, left). Sackrison, in addition to his temporary role as interim president, serves as president of Bertie Memorial and Chowan Hospitals. Both hospitals he serves are within the area hit by twin tornados that stuck near dusk on Saturday, April 16. He added, “System-wide we have incredible healthcare professionals that do an outstanding job each and every day to meet the needs of our communities. And we are ready to serve and respond to any situation.” Mary Kelley (photo, right), Director of Human Resources at The Outer Banks Hospital was likewise proud of the spirit of generosity shone by the hospital employees as she presented Sackrison with one of several boxes of items for afflicted residents. Bertie Memorial Hospital is a subsidiary of East Carolina Health, part of University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina. The Outer Banks Hospital is a partnership between University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.
