It was the 6th annual Flight of Fancy Gala, coordinated by The Outer Banks Hospital Development Council. Thanks to outstanding support from the community, friends, and colleagues, this year’s event, themed Treasures of the Nile, raised $109,396 to benefit The Outer Banks Hospital.
Proceeds over the past six years have been used to purchase new diagnostic equipment, expand and enhance services, and fight against cancer and other diseases. One of the goals of The Outer Banks Hospital is to provide services close to home. As a Valley of the Kings sponsor, the TowneBank of Currituck family was pleased to lend its support. Pictured here at the Gala are (L-R) Bob Aston, TowneBank Chairman and CEO; Debbie Ferrell Moore, 2011 gala chairperson and former Council member; Margaret Wells, gala sponsor chair and member of the hospital Board of Directors; Cecil Hobbs, TowneBank of Currituck President; Taylor Sugg, TowneBank of Currituck President, Outer Banks; Jack Crawford, TowneBank of Currituck Executive Vice President.
The Outer Banks Hospital, a 21-bed facility, is recognized nationally for excellence in patient care and fiscal responsibility. Be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s Flight of Fancy to Antarctica on January 21, 2012. It’s sure to be a magical, winter snowscape!
