Patient safety is our utmost concern. We treat patients from pediatric to geriatric stages of life. Radiation doses are customized to the patient’s age and size. By doing this, image quality is optimized while delivering the lowest possible dose of radiation to the patient. We follow “Imaging Gently” guidelines established by the Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging to minimize radiation exposure to our pediatric patients. For our adult patients, we follow “Imaging Wisely” guidelines established by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Radiological Society of North America, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. These guidelines follow gold-standard protocols, helping to ensure patient safety from overexposure to radiation.
