Radiology Services

Our Mission: To provide safe, convenient radiologic procedures in a patient, family and safety focused environment.

Patient safety is our utmost concern. We treat patients from pediatric to geriatric stages of life. Radiation doses are customized to the patient’s age and size.  By doing this, image quality is optimized while delivering the lowest possible dose of radiation to the patient.
We follow “Imaging Gently” guidelines established by the Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging to minimize radiation exposure to our pediatric patients.  For our adult patients, we follow “Imaging Wisely” guidelines established by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Radiological Society of North America, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.  These guidelines follow gold-standard protocols, helping to ensure patient safety from overexposure to radiation.

How do I get a copy of my results?

Radiology images are typically provided to you on CD. If you wish to obtain a copy of your images on CD the day of your visit, please notify any one of your care providers and we will make arrangements for you to receive your records that day.  To obtain a copy of your images any time after your visit, please call our Medical Records department at 252-449-4520.
Please keep in mind that due to regulatory requirements, hospitals must keep a record of anyone receiving a copy of your medical records (including you!). You will be asked to complete a “Release of Medical Information” form prior to receiving your records.  This is a measure taken to protect your privacy.
